my story

I started out on an outdated version of photoshop in a high school computer lab, making trippy edits to stock photos to pass the time. But when some great teachers inspired me to take design at UT, I realized that I could turn my creative side into my career.

But the journey to where I am now is unpredictable and strange, as in the past 3 years of college I have had to wear various hats: Industrial Designer, Art Director, Project Manager, Board Chairman, Exhibit Curator, UX Researcher, and Business Negotiator, just to name a few. But within all of this, I never strayed from the path of working to better the world around me.

In my free time I enjoy playing saxophone, playing volleyball, and learning new skills—I am always looking for opportunities to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.

my drive

My driving force is the passion for being able to create large-scale, long-term, change in the world. We live in a time where there are so many problems to be solved, and I aim to see them fixed in my lifetime.

While I love the problem-solving nature of design work, a lot of the projects in the field on feel too small-scale (i.e. company websites and products) to motivate me. But on the other hand, with my work as the non-profit board chair of a multi-million dollar housing organization, I feel much more empowered to put my efforts forward. I find motivation in knowing that my work benefits a large amount of people, on a large scale.

my direction

I know that I will never be able to predict what is next for me. However, no matter how chaotic the journey from here is, my goal of creating a large-scale positive impact will stay constant.
